EVE BLAGROVE
6'1" | Small Forward | Class of 2026 | Netherlands National Team Player
77
Committed & Signed:
San Jose State University
I am proud to announce that I have committed and signed to play NCAA Division I basketball for the San Jose State Spartans in the Mountain West Conference. Starting with the 2026-27 season, I will be wearing number 77 in San Jose, California.
The Journey
From the courts of Barendrecht to the international stage, my life has been a whirlwind of passion, dedication, and basketball. Born on July 23, 2007, I grew up in a family where the love for the game runs deep. My sister Jade, also a talented basketball player, has always been both an inspiration and a friendly rival, pushing me to be my best.
My formative years were spent honing my skills with CBV Binnenland, where I built a strong foundation and developed the versatility that defines my game as a 6'1" (185 cm) small forward. After transferring to the Orange Lions Academy (OLA), I continued to grow under elite coaching and competition, preparing myself to perform at the highest level.
Representing the Netherlands at the FIBA U16 and U18 European Championships with the Dutch National Team has been one of my proudest achievements. In the summer of 2025 I also wore the orange jersey at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Skopje, competing in 3x3 basketball. Competing against Europe's best players has shaped me not only technically and tactically, but also mentally and emotionally as an athlete.
In 2025, I was honored to be named the Rising Star of the Year in the Women's Basketball League (WBL), a recognition that reflects both the hard work I have put in and the support of my coaches, teammates, and family. Winning this award has further fueled my ambition and validated the sacrifices made along the way.
That hard work opened the door to the next chapter: I have committed and signed to play NCAA Division I basketball at San Jose State University in the Mountain West Conference, where I will wear number 77. Before joining the Spartans, I will represent the Netherlands one more time this summer, having been selected for the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship in Samokov, Bulgaria.
This journey is far from over. I remain relentlessly focused on elevating my game, contributing to my team's success, and making my mark on the world of basketball, one step, one game, and one goal at a time.
